A healthy environment is one of the important factors in preventing the risk of infection in healthcare facilities. Education for patients, families, visitors, and the community is needed to raise awareness about hand hygiene, sanitation, waste management, environmental cleanliness, and infectious disease prevention. Dukuh Kupang Health Center is a healthcare facility in Dukuh Pakis District, Surabaya, which provides general services, maternal and child health, pediatric, lung/TB, dental and oral care, as well as environmental health services. This article aims to illustrate the importance of healthy environment education as an effort to prevent infection risks in the working area of Dukuh Kupang Health Center.
