A healthy environment is one of the important factors in preventing infectious diseases. Educating the community is necessary to raise awareness about environmental cleanliness, mosquito nest eradication, waste management, hand hygiene, sanitation, and healthy and clean living behaviors. This article aims to illustrate the importance of healthy environmental education as an effort to prevent infectious diseases in the work area of Dukuh Pakis Public Health Center in Surabaya. The method used is descriptive through literature studies and government secondary data. The study results show that preventing infectious diseases requires community involvement, especially in monitoring mosquito larvae and practicing clean and healthy living behaviors. Surabaya City Government data also shows that the dengue prevention program through regular larvae monitoring has become part of infectious disease management activities in the Dukuh Pakis District area.
