Pemanfaatan Sistem Informasi dalam Monitoring Pengelolaan Limbah Medis dan Nonmedis di Rumah Sakit Randegansari Gresik

Abstract

Waste management in hospitals requires regular, accurate, and well-documented monitoring. Using an information system can help hospitals record the amount of waste, monitor transportation, storage, and treatment processes, and document environmental monitoring results. Randegansari Husada Hospital is a class D general hospital located in Driyorejo District, Gresik Regency, with a capacity of 70 beds according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health. The hospital also has fairly diverse service facilities and a 24-hour emergency service. This study aims to analyze the use of information systems in supporting the monitoring of medical and non-medical waste management at Randegansari Husada Hospital. The method used is descriptive through documentation studies and reviews of official sources. The study results show that information systems have the potential to support recording waste generation, monitoring transportation and storage, documenting waste processing, and environmental reporting. The hospital also has a history of managing wastewater through the WWTP and a duty to monitor wastewater quality. Using an integrated digital system can improve documentation accuracy, make tracking easier, and increase the effectiveness of waste management supervision. However, support in terms of human resources, infrastructure, and consistent operational procedures is needed.
